plumes of doom by OllieTeo plumes of doom by OllieTeo
as you all know the world came to an end today, so I went outside and painted the destruction. The guy here was referenced from one of the photos of the amazing Laurent Orseau [link]

oil painting and art history (to a slightly lesser) taught me how to loosen up when it comes to painting and not feel stressed and strained to make everything perfect and photorealistic, which can be (and usually is) way cooler than just realism. Too bad I won't live long enough to continue to make us of it :fear:

How the heck did I miss this in my inbox? Very nice mood. The sepia tones are ace!

haha, thanks!
JW - how dark is most of the picture to you? I made it a little lighter than I otherwise wood because I know my monitor is a little on the bright side...

I don't have my monitor to the greatest settings either, but I would say there's no real pitch black. Think like how old b&w photos sometimes fade a tad. I think the light and dark are deep enough for it though.

That's my opinion, but keep in mind that I'm kind of an idiot.
